Auto-tune or no auto-tune?

What are your thoughts on auto-tune? Jay-Z is calling everyone out on it, while Kanye used it all over his 808 album. Kanye also produced a bunch of tracks for Jay-Z's new album Blueprint 3. I can definitely see how it is being overdone and Jay-Z is just trying to push the envelope.

Anyone get tickets to the benefit concert tomorrow night? I wasn''t able to get any, since it sold out in a quick minute. but I''ll be watching Fuse's live broadcast for sure. Starts at 9PM. Gonna be a sick concert!

I say use it if it sounds good! If you make music with it and it sounds bad no one will like it!


How can you argue with that! Hip Hop is based off of freedom of expression!! People need to stop telling everyone what to do/sound like.

Jay-z's death of autotune is an awesome song, but if you stop using autotune cause hov told you to and only for that reason you are a SHEEP!

I'd have to say I'm with Jay-Z! True. . . hip hop is about freedom and expression, but when something is played, it's played! Auto Tune has more or less turned into your "do what's making money for the moment gimmick." The pyramid effect. You have the Originators of change in hip hop, then comes the followers, which always leads to over saturation with whatever it is!
